What a great time we had last Friday fooling Ms. Burns to think she had a new student! It's hard to believe that a new haircut and adding glasses can make someone look so different! Everyone had a great laugh, even Ms. Burns! She is such a good sport! You can see what Matthew looked like in his before picture above his head in the bright green/yellow shirt! Would you recognize him?
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader. -John Quincy Adams

SUMMER!
Happy Last Day of School!
I wish my outgoing 6th-graders a wonderful summer and new beginnings as they head to Masco and other great adventures! You were a super-duper class and I know you will do great things!
I welcome my new upcoming 6th-graders to our team! I'm already excited for September (kind-of!) and have started planning for new and exciting things to do in our classroom.
I have put our supply list on the student page of my blog. Please check it out there!
Have a safe and wonderful Summer!
See you August 30!
I hope you all stick together and remember all the rules you learned in 6th Grade:
Hold hands
Ask for help
Be kind
Never give up!
Be yourself
Show gratitude
Laugh
Try new things
Live a balanced life
The sky is the limit!
Life is Good!
Here are some highlights of the past year!

SPRING HAS SPRUNG!
A great day to get outside and do some work! We spent the day outside for science practicing Mean, Median, and Mode.
During RTI, our literature groups also worked outside whether they were reading or meeting as a group for discussion.

Science Fair Success!
WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!
I'm just amazed at how amazing all of the students did in our first Science Fair! I can't deny that I was worried. I didn't know what to expect and how it will all turn out. In the end, I was blown away! The students outdid themselves with their posters and presentations! A judge commented that she was also amazed and so impressed with how each student knew their stuff!
Congratulations to every student that participated in the science fair.
You should be very proud of your hard work. This assignment demonstrates your ability to continually work on a long-term project with focus and determination. You learned how to go through the steps of the scientific method but you also learned time management, organization, public speaking, and doing your best work pays off! These are all life skills that you will carry with you always no matter what you do!
Some highlights of the day!
